Food at Dartington
About Food (etc.)
We all need physical sustenance beyond the wonderful mental stimulation provided during the event!
Your conference registration includes lunch and liberal supplies of hot and cold drinks and snacks during the day.
If you are staying at Dartington breakfast is included in your booking.
Evening Meal at Dartington
You have an option to purchase an evening meal at £16. This is a two-course meal with a limited menu choice (although the kitchen will always do their best to cater for any dietary requirements you may have). If you are staying at Dartington or intending to stay around for evening activities we highly recommend you do this. We can only take booking up to about ten days before the event begins (see booking form for details).
Otherwise your evening meal choices on the Dartington estate only include The White Hart Bar and Restaurant (a full-service restaurant with a range of choices) . Again, pre-booking is advised, or you are likely to face a very long wait for your meal.
The White Hart Restaurant has two AA Rosettes
During the day
If you want to find additional food during the day, the White Hart also serves food at lunchtime. Open most of the day are:
The Roundhouse Café (sandwiches, etc.)
The Green Table (more bistro-like with a wide selection of food.
Nearby villages all have pubs where you can find food. The two closest that we recommend are The Cott Inn (in Dartington village, within walking distance), and the Sea Trout in Staverton village. This is 5-10 minutes in the car.
Totnes also has a range of pubs, cafés, and small eateries including vegetarian restaurants. Totnes is also 5-10 minutes in a car, and within walking distance if you’re prepared for a brisk 20-minute walk.
