I am a printmaker inspired by bugs, hedgerows, “weeds” and how we and the organisms we live alongside interact and shape the environment. I use a wide range of printmaking techniques – both traditional and innovative, often creating complex one off prints using mainly intaglio processes with mono print techniques, using plants either foraged from hedgerows or which I cultivate for the purpose. I make my printmaking as environmentally friendly and sustainable as I can.
Much of my practice involves ongoing studies of Devon Hedgerows, plus projects looking at the importance of urban bees; a celebration of our most rare farm bird being brought back from the brink of extinction; ongoing observations of local weeds/wild flowers and currently examining Dartmoor blanket bogs.
