Most immediately I am making progress with establishing a ‘local and particular’ community-based social enterprise in Hexworthy, central Dartmoor. The focus will be on direct environmental benefit, but with an imaginative, arts/crafts dimension. Provisional name: ‘Forest IDEAS’, with IDEAS as an acronym! for ‘Inclusive Dartmoor: Economy, Artistry, Sustainability’. I am also planning to develop my current doctorate as a highly visual book on the symbolism of the apple, accompanied by a touring exhibition. My background includes working as a Creative Enterprise Fellow at the former Dartington College of Arts, and as a freelance organisational consultant and workshop leader for creative enterprises and individuals.. As Director of the Freud Museum, London, I established the venue as an international centre for research, exhibitions, education and debate. I have also taught the history of Modern Art for the O.U. I am committed to partnerships and co-operation, and have so much to learn, so do get in touch: I greatly enjoy ‘First Fridays’!
