Wood Wisdom

Wood Wisdom

Tradition, Innovation & Sustainability (2008)

The first exhibition in the Wood Culture series seeks to connect us with the rich history of timber construction from Neolithic trackways, medieval building to ship and aeroplane building.  It will also identify how timber growing, new technologies – such as glulam and  computer-aided design – and the use of wood in construction and as fuel, can provide considerable environmental benefits, particularly in helping to reduce global warming.

This panel exhibition is curated by Clive Adams, Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World, Haldon Forest, Exeter.
