The creative arts can inspire and engage but also need inspiration; the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site (WHS) provides plenty of inspiration in its world class ‘landscape without parallel’. Its special nature however can create challenges and we would like your help to explore these issues to develop an Arts Framework for the partnership managing the World Heritage Site.
The intention of the Stonehenge and Avebury WHS Arts Framework is to enable artists and producers to engage constructively and effectively with potential hosts and partners. The Framework will provide information on the restrictions and limitations and the permissions required in this special protected landscape and help artists understand what they need to do in order to work positively with WHS partners.
We are inviting delegates from a variety of sectors and art forms in order to get the widest range of viewpoints and expertise and we would like you to attend. We are in the early stages of planning but are expecting to have a mixture of speakers and group discussions to help us in the preparation of the Arts Framework which will be developed in 2016 using information gathered at the Symposium.
Please save the date in your diary and more information will follow shortly.
If you would like to attend this event please could you respond to firstname.lastname@example.org with a note of your name, contact details and art form or area of expertise to help us in the planning process.
