Course dates:
Monday, 12 October, 2015 to Friday, 16 October, 2015

With Tom Bree, Stephan Harding and Philip Franses

A partnership between The Prince’s’ School of Traditional Arts and Schumacher College.

This course is part of our Elmhirst Programme.

Perceive and work with the patterns of nature combining the methods of deep ecology, Goethean science and the practice of Sacred Geometry in this ground-breaking partnership between The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts and Schumacher College.

Join us for a rich and creative week combining philosophy, contemplation in nature and practice of traditional art. We will explore pattern theory, experience nature and perceive its underlying principles directly in the beautiful grounds of Schumacher College, and we will apply the insights gained to complete a series of geometric models, drawings and contemplative paintings.

The objective of our week will be to illustrate some of the fundamental symmetries that underlie the order of the natural world and help us bring together the head, the heart and the hand. This transformational course in which we learn to see and make with new eyes, is held within the Devon-based learning community of Schumacher College.
