Announcing Common Ground: an open call for four £10,000 commissions

We know that for the climate movement to be centred around justice, it must be intersectional in its approach. This is why we are delighted to launch Common Ground, a programme of four £10,000 commissions and an accompanying professional development programme for UK-based artists, makers or creators. Common Ground focuses on creative climate leadership, justice and equitable participation in order to challenge existing imbalances in the climate movement.

Common Ground invites applications from artists who identify as Black, Asian and minority ethnic/POC, refugee, D/deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, working class and/or LGBTQI+.

The commission offer for UK-based artists, makers or creators working across all art forms includes:

  • £10,000 to support the creation of a new, participatory work;
  • Artist development programme to develop artistic practice and leadership within the climate movement;
  • Advocacy and marketing support through Season for Change’s and partners’ websites and social media;

The deadline for applications is 10am on Thursday 30 July 2020.
