Amanda Wallwork

I am an artist and curator working with landscape and environment. Specifically geology and archaeology. I am interested in how we experience landscape – beyond the visual – and understand how it is formed. I am interested in the underlying factors that determine how our land has been used and shaped, how we move through it, the impact we have and the traces we leave behind. My work aims to reveal what is not always immediately apparent, what can’t always be seen on the surface.

As a curator I currently work for b-side – an arts organisation commissioning new site specific work in response to the Isle of Portland, for a biennial festival. We also now have our own small project space on Portland and are developing a year round programme.
